As previously mentioned in other articles, Sky cards loves the image of Sky TV’s identity, we have talked about the design of the Sky card before. The Sky box also known as the Sky receiver or Digibox has changed over the years from a very retro, very squared black box to a sleek stylish space age design. Sky and other companies have recognised over the past 10 years that it’s not just the quality of the product you offers matters. The look of everything to do with the product matter as well.

With the new white Sky card just catching up with the latest Sky + HD box, with it’s stylish Silver, white and gray design, we will undoubtedly see more and more design improvements with Sky’s future products. The Sky + standard box isn’t bad either, even though it is now outdated by the Sky + HD box, the almost all white coloring and strong, bold lines gives the impression of a powerful yest simple piece of equipment.

We all remember the days when the boxes where plain, black and boring, and where soley aimed for functionality and the Sky cards where boring and no effort was put into making them visually appealing.

I wonder what Sky have install for the future, maybe a big design change when Sky + HD 3D in released!
